Part of earning a degree is ensuring you take the right classes in the right order - Central Academic Advising is available to help get you on the right track early on in your academic career and offers a number of options for students looking for college preparatory courses or who may be seeking their GED.

Academic Advising

We assist veterans and their dependents applying for benefits they’ve earned while linking them to other services and organizations that will support them locally where they live. This office assists local Veteran Service Organizations (VSO).  We act as a liaison between their membership and other community organizations in support of their mission.

The ISU Career Center is available to assist students with resume building, interview skills, and other areas of professional development, including job assessment tests that help you look at your skills and interests.

The Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC)  offers free and confidential counseling services to enrolled ISU students.

Join the TRIO Veterans if you are a veteran of any branch, currently serving, or have served in the National Guard or Reserve, and you want to pursue a degree in higher education.  This program assists Veterans, free of charge, as they prepare for, enter, and pursue a higher education.
