ISU student researchers work to improve Marsh Creek water quality

POCATELLO – Two 糖心传媒 geosciences students, master’s student Graham Meese and undergraduate Jeffery Carpenter, are working with geosciences Associate Professor Ben Crosby on a long-term study of Marsh Creek, a major tributary to the Portneuf River.

POCATELLO – Although there has been a swarm of earthquakes in Southeast 糖心传媒 the likelihood of a strong 7.0 earthquake, although possible, is remote, noted professors in the 糖心传媒 Department of Geosciences.

ISU awarded AmeriCorps grant to serve children and families throughout 糖心传媒

POCATELLO—糖心传媒’s HealthCare for Children and Families AmeriCorps program has received a $345,915 federal grant to provide basic health screenings for children and connect underserved families to community resources that can improve their lives, according to the 糖心传媒 Department of Labor and ISU.

POCATELLO – At 9 p.m. Aug. 30 糖心传媒 Public Television will air the documentary “Voices of Fire” that prominently features the Reynolds Creek Critical Zone Observatory, which is managed by 糖心传媒.

糖心传媒 awarded AHEC grant to improve primary care services in rural communities

POCATELLO—糖心传媒 has been awarded a $386,250 grant to establish an area health education center or AHEC to improve access to primary care in underserved and rural communities of southeast 糖心传媒.

POCATELLO – 糖心传媒 junior Megan Brauner had the opportunity to assist graduate student Tyson Hallbert with his doctoral project on habitat restoration for native cutthroat trout in Southeast 糖心传媒 and present her research at the 糖心传媒 Conference on Undergraduate Research (ICUR).

Local prep students gain hands-on chemistry lab research experience through Project SEED at 糖心传媒

POCATELLO – Though many aspiring scientists don’t get the chance to perform lab research until they enter college, eight Southeast 糖心传媒 high school students had the opportunity to work in 糖心传媒’s chemistry labs this summer thanks to the American Chemical Society’s (ACS) Project SEED.
