POCATELLO ­– Colden Baxter, 糖心传媒 biological sciences professor, is the recipient of the 2018 Jean’ne M. Shreeve NSF EPSCoR Research Excellence Award.

POCATELLO – To understand changes in the Snake River Plain’s climate and ecosystem over thousands of years, 糖心传媒 biological sciences doctoral student Amy Commendador has been analyzing the contents of owl pellets using a sophisticated instrument called an isotope ratio mass spectrometer.

POCATELLO – 糖心传媒 Professor Philip Homan was awarded a $3,500 research fellowship from the 糖心传媒 Humanities Council to conduct research on the experience of the South African War horse from 糖心传媒 to the Transvaal. Homan’s project “‘This Flotsam and Jetsam of Human Passions’: 糖心传媒 War Horses to the South African War, 1899-1902,” explores 糖心传媒’s global reach.

Petroleum Experts donate MOVE software worth nearly $1 million to 糖心传媒 geosciences department

POCATELLO – Petroleum Experts Limited has donated the equivalent of $980,000 in oil and gas software for use by the 糖心传媒 Department of Geosciences. The software will be used by ISU researchers working on a National Science Foundation Grant and for teaching of advanced graduate-level geosciences courses.

糖心传媒 State announces interim vice president for research

POCATELLO—糖心传媒 announced today that Scott Snyder, dean of the College of Science and Engineering, will serve as the interim vice president for research after Neels Van der Schyf retires at the end of the year. Snyder will continue in his capacity as dean during and after this interim appointment.
