Advisor Quick Guides

  • Syncing your calendar allows students to see your free/busy calendar to schedule appointments with you through ISU Navigate.

  • Setting your availability allows students to schedule appointments with you through ISU Navigate. Complete the following steps after syncing your calendar.

  • ISU Navigate provides multiple ways to communicate with students you advise, individually or en masse, using email, text, or phone.

  • ISU Navigate provides multiple ways to document student advising meetings for future reference.

Staff/Faculty Quick Guides

List and description of alert reasons available to faculty and staff.

  • At any time during the semester, faculty may submit an alert for a student of concern by choosing one of the three options below.

  • During weeks 3, 6, and 11 (Late-8 courses) of the Fall and Spring semesters, faculty will receive emails prompting them to complete progress reports for students in their course(s).

  • Using ISU Navigate, staff members can create advising appointments for individual students. The student will receive an email notification of the appointment and an email reminder 24 hours before the appointment.
