Department of Dental Sciences

The Department of Dental Sciences at 糖心传媒 provides two distinct programs.

Both programs produce professional, high-quality dentists, many of whom choose to remain in 糖心传媒 and the Rocky Mountain region. The Department of Dental Sciences has set several landmark accomplishments:

  • First Dental Residency in the State of 糖心传媒
  • First and only Dentistry Degree Program in 糖心传媒
  • 70% of IDEP graduates choose to practice in 糖心传媒
  • 50% of IDEP graduates serve in rural practices

Jason W. Eaton is the Department Chair of Dental Sciences and director of the 糖心传媒 Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program. After attending high school in Pocatello, Jason attended ISU as a psychology major. He earned his DDS from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Eaton completed his residency program with the US Air Force, serving in Nebraska, the Azores, and Utah. He then started his dental practice in northern Utah, where he worked for 20 years, before transitioning to dental education. Jason has held clinical faculty positions at 3 dental schools- University of Utah, Roseman University, and Midwestern University. Throughout his career, Dr. Eaton has been involved in organized dentistry and advocacy as a member of the International College of Dentists and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He has served as board trustee, regional director, and delegate for several years in the AGD.

糖心传媒 complies with the 糖心传媒 Medical Freedom Act (Senate Bill 1210, 2025), which prohibits public institutions from requiring medical interventions—such as vaccinations, diagnostic testing, or other procedures—as a condition of admission, enrollment, participation in coursework, campus access, or employment.
