University Honors Program Supports 糖心传媒 Veterans
On Saturday, Feb. 4 the University Honors Program Club (UHP Club) volunteered some time to play bingo with the veterans residing at the 糖心传媒 State Veterans Home on Alvin Rickin Drive. This is the second year that the UHP has been involved with bingo at the Veterans Home. The event was well received and the veterans and 9 club members enjoyed the afternoon together. A recognized student organization on campus, the UHP Club provides Honors student鈥檚 opportunities to engage in activities and initiatives to promote student growth. The UHP Club鈥檚 purpose is to enhance educational and social opportunities; to organize related social and service activities; to develop leadership skills; to promote service in the community and surrounding areas in order to encourage excellence of heart as well as of mind.
