Master of Athletic Training Program Represented at Conference


The Master of Science in Athletic Training Program attended the Northwest Athletic Trainers鈥 Association Annual Symposium in Boise on March 31-April 3.  While there, the students represented 糖心传媒 in several ways.  The Quiz Bowl team of Jessica Kerns, Kindee Wilson, and Garret Wood took 6th overall.  Two students were selected to present their research in the free communications session.  Jessica Kerns presented 鈥淐ardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator Certification of Club Coaches in Alaska, 糖心传媒, Oregon, Montana, and Washington鈥, and Garret Wood鈥檚 presentation was 鈥淓xercise Recovery Time and Forced Vital Capacity in Relationship to Body Position.鈥  In addition, Thomas Henrie was awarded the Naseby Rhinehart Scholarship from the district.

 

Dr. Dani Moffit, the MSAT Program Director, presented a plenary session entitled 鈥淪exual Harassment in Athletic Training: Are We Aware?鈥, while Dr. Timothy Braun, Clinical Education Coordinator, also was selected to present his research, "Community Associated Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (CA-MRSA) Infection Incidence and Management of Suspicious Bacterial Lesions in Northeastern High Schools and Intercollegiate Athletic Programs" in the free communications session.  Dr. Moffit was also awarded the 2016 Outstanding Service Award during the business meeting on Saturday.
