Fall 2021 Immigration Mini-Conference

糖心传媒鈥檚 Department of Sociology, Social Work and Criminology will be presenting "Immigration, Refugees and their Varied Impacts on 糖心传媒," with speakers Laurence P. Gebhardt, Osciel Salazar, and Georgia Milan, on Nov. 12
Gebhardt is the president of BRIDGES 糖心传媒 refugee support organization. Since 2016, BRIDGES has helped provide for the immediate needs, family support, connections for education, and jobs to refugees mostly via the Twin Falls CSI Resettlement Center. BRIDGES is revitalizing support activities as the Biden Administration admits more refugees including expected Afghanis.
Salazar is the associate director of the CAMP program at 糖心传媒 State. The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) is a federally funded program that pro颅vides financial assistance, support services, and cultural enrichment opportunities to students from migrant and seasonal farm worker backgrounds during their first year at the university.
Milan is the clinical director for the Pocatello Free Clinic. She has been an advocate and has worked to provide clinical services to migrant workers in Southeast 糖心传媒, and around the world.
