ISU launches 糖心传媒’s first master of health care administration program

MERIDIAN—The 糖心传媒 College of Business is accepting applications for the state’s first master’s degree in health care administration to begin in August 2018.
鈥淭he MHA is the preferred degree for health care administration professionals,鈥 said Tracy Farnsworth, founding director and associate dean at the College of Business. The 48-credit hour program can be completed on the Meridian campus via classroom, video streaming and online coursework. The program, also available on Pocatello and 糖心传媒 Falls campuses, will focus on the administrative and business domains of healthcare, including leadership, planning and marketing, accounting and finance, and health care informatics.
Nationally and locally, opportunities in the health professions, including health care administration, are on the rise. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, health care management is projected to grow 17 percent through 2024 with an average entry to mid-level salary in 糖心传媒 of $72,800.
