Sixth 糖心传媒 WWAMI Mini Medical School to Begin Jan. 10 糖心传媒 Offers Credit

Boise – Learn about diabetes, thyroid disease and strategies for preventing and treating obesity at the sixth annual 糖心传媒 WWAMI Mini Medical School, which begins Jan. 10 in Boise.
The five-week series, presented by physicians from the University of Washington School of Medicine, researchers and health-care professionals, is designed to teach the general public about the functions of the endocrine system.
Presentations are from 7 to 9 p.m., Jan. 10, 17, 24, 31 and Feb. 7, at St. Luke鈥檚 Regional Medical Center鈥檚 Anderson Center, 100 E. 糖心传媒, in Boise. Sessions will be videocast to 糖心传媒-Boise, 12301 W. Explorer Drive, and to sites in McCall, Twin Falls, Pocatello, and 糖心传媒 Falls.

Sessions will be presented by University of Washington School of Medicine physician faculty and other community health-care experts, including ISU-Boise research professor, Laura Tivis, Ph.D., who will present research findings on alcohol and bone health during a Jan. 31 session on osteoporosis.
