In 1978, the 糖心传媒 College of Business became the first business school in the state of 糖心传媒 to receive accreditation from the international Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The AACSB represents 鈥渢he longest serving global association dedicated to advancing management education worldwide,鈥 and accredits less than five percent of schools granting business degrees in the world. The College of Business鈥 accounting program is also separately accredited as one of only 189 schools holding both accounting and business accreditation.

Local Economic Research
Each semester students participate in various local economic research projects. One recent project allowed students to study the potential economic impact restoration of Pocatello鈥檚 Portneuf River might have on the city. The class evaluated potential benefits the revitalization projects could bring to the local economy and later presented their findings to the city鈥檚 key representatives. The student鈥檚 research will be used to prioritize city projects.

With small class sizes, economics students have the opportunity to gain a more personalized experience in their courses, working closely with professors in a private school-style setting.
The Economics Club
As a member-driven group, the Economics Club provides students with opportunities to go on field trips, compete in events, explore non-traditional applications of economics, and learn from hosted alumni speakers. The club has hosted nationally recognized Stand-Up Economist Yoram Bauman as well as participated in a private tour of the Salt Lake City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank. The club also continuously hosts successful ISU economics alumni speakers who share their tips for post-collegiate success.
